Affiliate Disclosure
Rovebound is an affiliate marketing and referral website. When we use a commission-earning link, we identify that relationship beside the relevant recommendation.
Where the disclosure appears
A general disclosure page is not the only notice. When a specific product, service or booking link can earn Rovebound a commission, the recommendation should also carry a clear nearby disclosure such as “Affiliate link — Rovebound may earn a commission at no extra cost to you.”
How commission links work
An affiliate provider may pay Rovebound when you follow a clearly identified link and make a qualifying purchase, booking or other action with that provider. The provider sets the price and transaction terms. A referral is not a promise of a discount or the lowest price.
How we select recommendations
Route fit, usefulness, durability, packability, style and value come before commission. Affiliate availability can affect which commercial options are available, but commission size is not an editorial criterion.
The Personal Legend Planner can use your in-browser trip choices to decide whether a product category has a genuine reason to appear — for example, footwear, an outer layer, carry, a reading companion or an activity-specific tool. An affiliate relationship does not determine your TEEM companion or destination match. When an approved affiliate product matches an earned category, it may be shown as a clearly identified commercial option.
Brand mentions may also be editorial or style references and do not automatically indicate sponsorship, approval or an affiliate relationship.
Your transaction stays with the provider
You purchase or book on the third party’s website under its terms. That provider handles payment, fulfilment, changes, refunds and customer support. Rovebound does not receive your payment or manage the booking.
Social posts and field content
When a social post, video, Story Card or field-content piece includes a material connection such as commission, payment, a gifted product, hosted travel or another benefit, that connection should be disclosed on that content in clear language and in a place people can actually see. A brand tag or discount code by itself is not treated as the disclosure.
Field content
Paid placements, free products, hosted experiences or other material benefits are disclosed when applicable. We do not describe research as a first-hand test, or call a product Field Tested, unless it was actually used by the Rovebound team.
