SERVICE RULES

Terms of Use

The rules for using Rovebound, its Arc planning tools and third-party partner links.

Effective September 12, 2026 · V2.8 Publish Candidate

Rovebound is a referral and planning service, not a booking business. Purchases, bookings, payments, cancellations, refunds and fulfilment remain with the independent provider you choose.

1. What Rovebound provides

Rovebound is a Yukon, Canada-based travel discovery, planning and referral service operated by its owner as a sole proprietorship. Rovebound publishes travel ideas, Story Routes, Arc planning tools, practical preparation guidance, destination information and recommendations for third-party goods and services.

Rovebound does not operate tours, act as a travel agency or insurer, take customer funds, issue booking confirmations, sell transportation or accommodation, or become the merchant of record for third-party goods or travel.

2. Arc planning, safety and current information

Rovebound uses a mixture of editorial information, planning logic, estimates and, where connected, current third-party or official data. Current-data features are designed to fail closed when required verification is unavailable. This reduces the chance that unavailable data is presented as current, but it does not make any route risk-free or guarantee that a source is complete.

Travel conditions can change quickly. Before acting, verify passports and entry rules, visas, permits, local laws, transport schedules, road/rail/ferry status, closures, health guidance, weather, wildfire or avalanche conditions, insurance needs, operator requirements and safety information with the relevant official authority or provider for your actual dates and circumstances.

Rovebound is not emergency, navigation, medical, legal, immigration, insurance or professional outdoor-safety advice. A destination appearing in Rovebound is not a statement that travel there is safe, lawful or suitable for you.

3. Prices, availability and estimates

Prices, budgets, fares, availability, journey times and other values may be estimates, recent provider data or current provider results depending on the feature. Rovebound labels estimates and recent data where practical. The third-party provider determines the final price, inventory and transaction terms.

4. Third-party providers and affiliate links

When you follow a provider link, you leave Rovebound and deal directly with that provider. The provider is responsible for its products or services, payment processing, availability, booking or purchase terms, changes, cancellations, refunds, warranties, delivery and customer support.

Some provider links are affiliate links. Rovebound may earn a commission from a qualifying action. Affiliate economics do not determine whether an Arc or destination is recommended. See the Affiliate Disclosure.

5. Local Journey State and exports

Rovebound can save Journey State in your browser so your Arc, planning choices and local group-planning information can persist on that device. You control the device and any exports you create. Do not include information in shared exports that you do not want other recipients to see.

6. Acceptable use

Do not interfere with Rovebound, bypass access controls, introduce malicious code, impersonate Rovebound, misuse the service for unlawful or fraudulent activity, or infringe another person's rights. Automated access must respect applicable law, security controls and third-party rights.

7. Intellectual property and community content

Original Rovebound branding, design, code and editorial material remain protected by applicable intellectual-property law. Third-party marks, data and content remain subject to their owners' rights. Linking to a government, community, First Nation, business or other organization does not imply endorsement.

8. Availability, corrections and mandatory rights

Rovebound may correct, update, restrict or withdraw content or features. To the extent permitted by law, the service is provided as available and without a promise of uninterrupted operation or suitability for a particular trip. Nothing in these Terms excludes or restricts a right, remedy, duty or liability that applicable law does not permit us to exclude or restrict.

9. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Yukon and applicable federal laws of Canada, subject to mandatory consumer, privacy and other protections that apply where you live.
