MOUNTAINS · LAKES · ROUTE STARTING POINT

Kluane + the Southern Lakes.

A starting point for a mountain-and-lake journey. Leave space between the stops instead of trying to see everything.

THE OUTLINE
SUMMER OUTLINE · 6 DAYS / 5 NIGHTS

A little room for the North.

Two bases, not five hotel moves. Two nights in Haines Junction make space for a Kluane day; two around Carcross leave room for the lakes. Whitehorse is the practical arrival and return point.

  1. Day 1 · 1 nightWhitehorse

Arrival day: stay in Whitehorse, collect supplies and confirm the vehicle before leaving town. Keep a late flight arrival free of onward driving.

  2. Days 2–3 · 2 nightsHaines Junction

Two nights in Haines Junction: an arrival afternoon plus one full day for Kluane. The national park visitor centre is in Da Kų Cultural Centre; check opening dates. Choose one suitable walk after reviewing Parks Canada conditions, rather than attempting every trail.

  3. Day 4 · Day stopWhitehorse

Travel and reset: return through Whitehorse before continuing toward Carcross. Use this as a food, fuel and timing checkpoint; this is a day stop, not an extra overnight.

  4. Days 4–5 · 2 nightsCarcross

Two nights around Carcross: one arrival afternoon and one unhurried day for the village and Southern Lakes. Confirm the exact lodging location; a lakeside property may need extra driving. Ask before photographing people or cultural work.

  5. Day 6 · Day stopWhitehorse

Return to Whitehorse on day six. Leave a generous buffer for fuel, vehicle return and your onward departure. Add a final Whitehorse night if the flight timing is tight.

Before this becomes your trip

Confirm your vehicle and each overnight first. Check road and park conditions again before travel. A phone signal or an eSIM is not an emergency plan for remote areas.

Northern Luzon.

An editable outline for a journey through Northern Luzon. Give the places in between as much attention as the destinations.

THE OUTLINE
ROAD-TRIP OUTLINE · 12 DAYS / 11 NIGHTS

The north, with a way back.

One full day in each main base, then a coastal stop on the return. La Union replaces an over-compressed Laoag-to-Manila finish. The extra Manila night gives the road trip a buffer before a flight. These are editorial pacing choices, not measured drive times.

  1. Day 1 · 1 nightManila

Arrival and rest. Confirm rental collection, parking and tomorrow’s route; do not build a mountain drive into a late international arrival.

  2. Days 2–3 · 2 nightsBaguio

Two nights give you one full day without moving hotels. Choose a city walk, local food and one cultural stop. Check the city’s official VISITA portal for local information and driving restrictions.

  3. Days 4–5 · 2 nightsVigan

Give the transfer its own day, then spend the following day exploring the historic centre on foot. Vigan’s heritage streets reward a slower visit; check individual building access rather than assume every interior is open.

  4. Days 6–7 · 2 nightsLaoag

Use one base in Ilocos Norte, with one chosen day outing rather than stacking distant stops. Confirm local access and return before dark where practical; no tour or transport is booked by this outline.

  5. Days 8–9 · 2 nightsSan Juan, La Union

Break the southbound return with two nights on the coast. Keep the arrival day light. Surfing is optional: check local sea conditions and use a suitable instructor rather than treating the beach as automatically safe.

  6. Days 10–11 · 2 nightsManila

Return to Manila with a full buffer day before leaving on day twelve. Confirm final drive time, tolls, vehicle return and your airport terminal. Do not combine the longest road transfer with a fixed international departure.

Before this becomes your trip

Check PAGASA and road access before each transfer. Confirm your rental’s permitted roads, eligibility and return conditions. Rework the route around your actual arrival and departure—not the other way round.

MAKE SOMETHING THAT MATTERS

Not more content.

Rove Collective brings the creative work together: developing a story, choosing the moments, and deciding what is worth sharing.

You don't have to turn your whole life into a public feed. A journey can remain yours. Sharing should be a choice.

WHAT IS ROVEBOUND?

Built to get people
back into the world.

Rovebound is a travel platform and brand for discovering places, shaping journeys, and making room for life outside the usual routine.

ROVE THE WORLD.
The point isn't to post a life.
It's to live one.

Start with a place that makes you curious. Turn the idea into a trip. Keep the useful details together, then leave enough room for the things you couldn't have planned.

Yukon roots. A world of possibility.

Yukon is where Rovebound started and where we are building the most local depth. Explore the World keeps the wider journey open. They are two ways into the same idea, not two different brands competing for your attention.

A trip, not a pile of tabs.

Find a place. Plan a trip. Save it in My Trips so your route, dates and notes stay together. No account needed.

Preview: example trips save on this device. Automatic saving from the online planners is not connected yet.

And the people behind it.

Rove Collective is the creative side of Rovebound. Rove Gallery brings the moments together. Community grows around real places and experiences, with sharing as an invitation—not a requirement.

Useful first. Affiliate second.

A partner should help the trip, not decide the trip. When an affiliate link is used, it should be identified clearly; bookings, prices, changes and cancellations belong with the provider you choose.
